Mayfly : Sulphurea Parachute Dun
010518_SulphureaDun.jpg

Traditional parachute pattern to imitate the bright yellow, to pale yellow mayflies. This is perhaps the nicest mayfly I know. And when these show their sails on the river, then I want to be there.

By using superfine dubbing in the body and a good hackle, this imitation will do the job in most cases

Hook : Ahrex FW502 Dry Fly Light #12-14

Tying Thread : Semperfli Classic Waxed thread 18/0, Primrose

Tail : Fibetts, Light Dun (4 pcs)

Body : Semperfli Superfine Dubbing, Wimbledon Yellow

Ribbing : Crystal Flash

Wing : Cdc, Cream

Thorax : Semperfli Superfine Dubbing, Wimbledon Yellow

Hackle : Whiting, Grizzly Cream

You can easily change the fibetts in the tail with Coq De Leon fibres or hackle fibres. Many fly tyers and fishermen prefers that before fibetts.
