This pattern can be used on several hatches, from midge hatches to heavy mayfly hatches. The all-round pattern will imitate a lot of things, all you need is to change color on the quill, thorax and Cdc.
Hook : Mustad C49s #14-18
Tying Thread : Semperfli Classic Waxed thread 18/0, Grey
Tail : Coq De Leon
Under Body : Semperfli Classic Waxed thread 18/0, Grey
Body : Stripped Peacock Quill, Natural
Thorax : Hares Blend Dubbing, Natural
Wing : Cdc, Dark Grey
Build up the body with the tying thread. Then add superglue on the body before wrapping the quill against the thorax area. Tye in two or three feathers of cdc, then build up thorax with Hares Blend dubbing, brush it.
Use dubbing needle or anything else to make a perfect loop.
